Questions For a Dinosaur (Portraits)
What does it feel like to witness a changing climate? What are we afraid of when we are afraid of change? How can we begin to foster psychological resilience as our weather systems become stranger and more turbulent? And how can we build a public vocabulary for talking about the experience of change?
Questions for a Dinosaur (Portraits) (2020)is a multi-process print series based on my 2017 video of the same name. Working with Master Printer Lane Sell of Shoestring Press, and photographer Jordan Levie, I created a portfolio of 106 prints. These fine art digital prints of self-portraits (as dinosaur) pair with silkscreen printed questions about extinction to tell the story of anxiety, fear and anticipation in an age of Global Warming.
